The AADS Conference Room was packed with students for an engaging discussion with Dr. E. Patrick Johnson about his current research and performance projects.

Dr. E. Patrick Johnson is Carlos Montezuma Professor of Performance Studies and African American Studies at Northwestern University and the award-winning author of “Appropriating Blackness: Performance and the Politics of Authenticity” and “Sweet Tea: Black Gay Men of the South-An Oral History.”

Dr. Johnson’s current research entitled, “Honeypot: Black Southern Women Who Love Women,” focuses on oral traditions of black southern women who desire other women.
